CHOCOLATE FRUIT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. semi-sweet chocolate
2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. dates
1 c. cherries, drained

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Combine eggs and sugar; beat well. Add the chocolate, nuts, and fruit to flour mixture. Fold in egg mixture. Pour into greased loaf pan (line bottom first with waxed paper). Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
