1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. rolled oats
1 tbsp. water
42 pieces chocolate star candies

Combine all ingredients and roll into balls. Place on cookie sheet. Bake about 12 minutes and 375 degrees. Place candy stars immediately on cookies as they are removed from the oven. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
