CORN PUPPIES 
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. corn meal
1 egg
1 c. milk
1/3 c. salad oil
1/4 c. onions
8-10 franks

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cornmeal. Beat egg with milk and add to dry mixture along with the oil and onions. Turn into greased 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Place the franks on top of batter. Bake about 30-35 minutes at oven temperature of 375 degrees.
