EL DORADO BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. minced onion
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 c. sliced ripe olives
1 c. sour cream
1 c. sm. curd cottage cheese
3 or 4 green chilies, chopped
1 pkg. tortilla chips
2 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese

Brown ground beef in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain. Add onion, garlic salt, tomato sauce and olives, mixing well. Simmer until heated thoroughly. Mix sour cream, cottage cheese and chilies together. Crush tortilla chips slightly, reserving a few whole chips for garnish. Layer half the chips, ground beef mixture, sour cream mixture and grated cheese alternately until all ingredients are used. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until bubbly. Garnish with whole tortilla chips.
