ONION PIE 
1 1/2 lbs. yellow onions, peeled and sliced thin
2 tbsp. oil
2 eggs
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. heavy cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (8 inch) unbaked pie shell
Caraway seed
1 tbsp. butter

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Saute onions in oil until translucent. Let cool. Beat together eggs, cream and salt. Put sauteed onions in pie shell. Sprinkle with caraway seed. Pour liquid over onions. Dot with butter. Bake for 35 minutes until golden brown.
