EASY ONE - DISH SUPPER | |
1/2 loaf frozen white bread dough, thawed 1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/4 c. chopped onion 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms pieces & stems, undrained 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce or canned tomatoes 2 tbsp. catsup 1/4 tsp. each oregano, thyme, basil & parsley 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 egg, beaten Omelet & souffle seasoning (1 package of refrigerated biscuits can be used and don't need to raise). Brown beef and onion in a Dutch oven. Add next 9 ingredients. Cover; simmer 15 minutes. Cool to warm, divide dough into 20 pieces and place on top of warm beef mixture. Cover; let rise 30 minutes or until pieces of bread dough have doubled in size. Lightly brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with omelet and souffle seasoning. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. |
