TOMATO SOUP 
1 pt. tomatoes or juice
1 pt. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda

Bring juice (or tomatoes) and milk almost to a boil in separate pans. Take both off burner; add sugar, salt and soda in this order to tomato juice. Add hot milk and stir rapidly. Serve with crackers in soup bowls. Do not boil or soup will curdle. Serves 3.
