COCONUT CREAM PIE 
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. flour

Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Boil one minute. Remove from heat. Stir a little of this mixture in 5 egg yolks (small). Then blend into hot mixture in saucepan. Boil one minute, stirring constantly. Blend in 1 tablespoon butter, 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and 1/2 cup coconut. Pour into baked shell and top with meringue.
