OREO COOKIE DESSERT 
1 lg. pkg. Oreo cookies
1/2 c. butter f 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 can Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 c. salted peanuts
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip

Crush cookies (save 1/4 of crumbs for topping). Mix cookies and butter; press in 9 x 13 inch pan. Soften ice cream and spread on top of crumbs. Freeze until set. Top with Cool Whip. Sprinkle remaining cookie crumbs on top. Keep frozen.
