M & M COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. Robin Hood flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. M & M's

Cream sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Spoon flour into dry measuring cup. Add soda and salt to flour and stir. Add dry ingredients to cream mixture. Add candy. (If self rising flour is used, omit soda and salt.) Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
