1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 1/2 sticks butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
Chocolate chips
Angel Flake coconut
Chopped nuts, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and milk for 1 1/2 minutes in microwave using a 2 quart glass mixing bowl. Stir in cake mix and nuts if desired. Mix well and pour half of batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 7 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips and coconut over the mixture. Cover with remaining batter and bake 15 to 18 minutes. Do not overbake.
