SQUASH PATTIES 
1 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp.s salt
1 egg
3 c. grated yellow squash
2 to 3 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 med. onion, chopped

Combine first 6 ingredients; beat with electric mixer until smooth. Add remaining ingredients; stir well.

Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls onto a hot, greased skillet. Cook until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Yield: about 2 dozen.
