CHILI BEANS 
1 1/2 lbs. pinto beans
2 lbs. hamburger or half sausage
4 sm. onions or 2 lg.
1 qt. tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder
Salt to taste

Cook beans until tender. Cook hamburger to a golden brown in skillet, stirring often. Take hamburger from skillet and add to beans, leaving drippings in skillet. Then add chopped onions in skillet and fry to golden brown. Pour onions, drippings to beans, then add mashed tomatoes and chili powder and stir thoroughly. Let simmer over low heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt to taste.
