HOMEMADE "BISQUICK' MIX 
8 c. flour
1/3 c. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
8 tsp. sugar (optional)
1 c. shortening
1/3 c. milk

Mix together thoroughly first 4 ingredients. Cut in 1 cup shortening to fine consistency. Keeps best in refrigerator.

For biscuits, use 1 cup mix to 1/3 cup milk to make 5 biscuits.

Bake at 425 to 450 degrees until golden brown.
