CREAMY FROSTING FOR CAKE 
This frosting keeps well in the fridge!

1 cup milk
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix milk, flour and salt and boil until thick, stirring constantly. Set aside until well cooled.

Cream butter and sugar for 7 minutes. Add cooled flour mixture, a little at a time, and beat 5 minutes until fluffy. Stir in vanilla.
