6 WEEK BRAN MUFFINS | |
2 c. All-Bran and Raisin Brand (half and half) 2 c. boiling water 1 c. oil 5 c. flour 5 tsp. baking soda 3 c. sugar (2 1/2 c. for less sweet) 4 eggs, beaten 1 qt. buttermilk 2 tsp. salt 1 c. raisins Pour boiling water over bran and let stand while assembling other ingredients. Mix oil, sugar, eggs and buttermilk. Sift flour with soda, salt and raisins. Combine all ingredients. Bake as needed in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Mixture will keep up to 6 weeks in refrigerator. Dates, apples, or nuts may be added at baking time. |
