SCALLOPED BROCCOLI CASSEROLE 
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. frozen broccoli
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. chopped onions
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. grated cheese
1/2 c. bread crumbs

Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to 1/2 cup boiling water; add broccoli. Return to boil. Cook 5 minutes; drain. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan. Add chopped onions. Cook until golden. Add remaining salt and flour; mix well. Add milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in grated cheese. Place cooked drained broccoli in a 1 quart casserole dish; pour cheese sauce over top. Mix remaining melted butter with bread crumbs. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake 20 to 25 minutes in 350 degree oven. Yield: 4 servings.
