CHILI 
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
16 oz. tomato sauce
3 c. tomatoes or 1 lb. 12 oz. can
2-3 shakes garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
Pinch of basil
1 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. chili powder
Pinch of crushed red pepper
Salt & pepper
2 cans kidney beans

Brown hamburger; drain off grease. Add onions and celery and saute. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings plus kidney beans (do not drain). Simmer 45 minutes or until thick. Increase chili powder if desired. Serves 4-6.
