1/4 c. butter
4 scrubbed unpared Idaho potatoes

Put butter in 13 x 9 inch baking pan and let it melt while the oven is heating to 475 degrees. Cut potatoes into 3/4 inch slices and add to butter, turning to coat all over. Bake 20 minutes, turning once, then broil 6 inches from heat until potatoes are crisp and brown outside and tender inside. Makes 6 servings.
