SWEET AND SOUR COLE SLAW | |
1 med. head grated cabbage 1 sm. grated onion 1 sm. grated carrot 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. mustard 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. celery seed 1/2 c. salad oil 1/2 c. white vinegar Mix cabbage, onion and carrot together. Add 1/2 cup sugar and toss; set aside. In saucepan, mix 1 cup sugar, mustard, salt, celery seed, oil and vinegar together and bring to a boil over medium heat. Pour this mixture over cabbage mixture and stir. Allow to chill about 2 hours before serving. This will keep 10 days in refrigerator. |
