1 pt. fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. heavy cream, whipped
Vanilla to taste

Rub berries through a fine sieve or puree in a blender. Mix with unbeaten egg whites and sugar; beat vigorously until mixture forms shiny stiff peaks. Fold whipped cream into strawberry mixture, flavor with vanilla, and serve at once or chill.
