SWEET POTATO BREAD 
1 1/2 lb. sweet potatoes
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. oil
1 c. walnuts or pecans
1/2 c. raisins

Boil potatoes until tender; drain and reserve 2/3 cup of water; mash and set aside. Combine flour, soda and spices; set aside. Combine eggs, sugar, oil, potatoes and 2/3 cup water. Stir in flour mixture and mix well. Add nuts and raisins. Bake in prepared loaf pans at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cover with foil last 10 minutes to prevent over-browning.
