CHOCOLATE CREAM CAKE | |
Guaranteed to satisfy any chocolate craving. CAKE: 1 stick butter 4 eggs 1 tsp. baking powder 1 lb. can Hershey's chocolate 1 c. sugar 1 c. plain flour 1 pinch of salt 1 tsp. vanilla Cream butter; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt. Beat until creamy. Grease and flour 1 (9"x12") pan. Add mixture into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Start making icing after cake has baked for 10 minutes. ICING: 1 c. sugar 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 stick butter 1/2 c. Nestle's semi sweet chocolate chips or 1 (4 oz.) pkg. Hershey's Kisses Combine sugar, milk and butter in top of double boiler. Bring mixture to boil. Then boil for one minute. Remove from heat then stir in chips until melted. Leave in pan at room temperature. Remove cake from oven when done, leave it in pan, puncture cake all over with table fork. Pour icing over cake. |
