VAN'S BARBECUED CHICKEN (DRUNKEN
CHICKEN)
 
3 lb. broiler-fryer, cut up chicken
Seasoned flour (1/4 c. flour, tsp. paprika, tsp. salt & pepper)
1/4 c. butter
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. sherry
1/3 c. water
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 onion, minced
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tbsp. brown sugar

Coat chicken with flour. In hot butter, saute chicken in skillet until golden on all sides. Remove to 2 quart casserole. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In same skillet combine ketchup and remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, pour over chicken. Bake covered 1 1/4 hours or until fork tender. Makes 4 servings.
