BUTTERMILK SALAD (Jelled) 
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1/3 c. sugar
1 lg. pkg. orange Jello
2 c. buttermilk
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip

Cook pineapple and sugar over medium heat until it boils. Remove from heat and add Jello. Cool. Add buttermilk and Cool Whip. Stir until Cool Whip is thoroughly mixed. Pour into dish or mold and chill at least 8 hours or overnight.
