CINNAMON TWISTS
3 1/2-4 c. flour
2 pkg. yeast, quick rise
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1/3 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter, melted

1. In large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups flour, yeast, 1/2 cup sugar and salt. Mix well.

2. In saucepan, heat milk, water and 1/3 cup butter until warm. (Butter does not need to melt.)

3. Add to flour mixture. Add egg. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

4. Gradually add remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead until smooth.

5. Place in greased bowl, grease side up. Cover and let rise about 15 minutes.

6. Combine 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon.

7. Punch down dough. Roll dough to 12 x 8 inch rectangle. Spread with melted butter. Sprinkle sugar-cinnamon mixture over butter.

8. Cut dough in half crosswise. Cut each half into 6 strips, 2 inches wide. Twist each strip 2-3 times with cinnamon side out.

9. Place twists in greased 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Cover and let rise about 15 minutes.

10. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan. Eat!
