HOLIDAY FUDGE 
5 c. granulated sugar
1/2 lb. butter (no butter!)
1 can Carnation evaporated milk (no substitutes)
1 pt. marshmallow creme
1 1/2 pkg. Nestle's chocolate bits (equal to 3 c., no substitutes)
Optional: Walnuts, pecans, coconut

Note: May use butterscotch bits or peanut butter bits for other flavors.

Mix sugar, butter and milk in a heavy, large saucepan. Bring to a full boil over moderately hot temperature and boil 10 minutes, mixing constantly with a wooden spoon. Add chocolate and stir until melted. Add marshmallow creme and stir until thoroughly mixed and smooth. Turn into well buttered tray. Cool thoroughly. Cut into small portions, it's very rich! Keep refrigerated.
