BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Cream together sugar, butter and eggs. Slowly add dry ingredient mixture, also buttermilk and flavors. Beat well, pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake for 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Let cool 10 minutes. Then remove and let cool on rack.
