MOM'S BARBECUE SAUCE 
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 bunch green onion (diced)
1 whole bell pepper (diced)
1 lb. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. chili powder
Salt and pepper
1 cube butter

In 2 quart saucepan melt butter and saute diced green onions and bell pepper. Add brown sugar and cook until it bubbles hard. Add vinegar, chili, salt and pepper. Add tomato and simmer about 45 minutes. Pour over cooked ribs or chicken. Bake for about 1 hour at 350 degrees. Needs lots of napkins when serving this dish.
