SWEET SLAW 
1 lg. head cabbage, shredded
2 med. carrots, shredded
1 med. green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar

1. in a large bowl, toss together the cabbage, carrots and green pepper.

2. For dressing, in another bowl, stir together mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar. Spoon the dressing over the cabbage mixture; toss. Store, covered, in refrigerator. Makes 8 cups.

NOTE: Add chopped sweet red pepper and 1/4 cup snipped chives to slaw for color. Also, for a little extra zip, add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper to dressing.
