SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground round steak or 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. lean pork
1 lb. veal
4 slices bread
3/4 c. milk
1 shredded onion
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. allspice
1 clove garlic (optional)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 bouillon cubes, soaked in 2 c. water

Crumble bread into milk, let stand until mushy. Add to meat, spices and eggs (except bouillon). Make into meatballs and put on wax paper to dry for 1/2 hour. Fry until brown, add bouillon and put into oven at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.
