OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/4 c. peanut butter
2 c. oats (quick cooking)

In heavy saucepan stir together sugar and cocoa, stir in milk. Add butter and corn syrup, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil vigorously for 3 minutes. Stir in peanut butter, then oats. Return mixture to boil. Remove from heat, beat until slightly thickened. Immediately drop from teaspoon onto waxed paper. Let cool and set.
