SOMBRERO SALAD | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped sweet pepper 1 (8 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz 1 pack taco seasoning mix 3/4 c. water 1 (8 oz.) pack tortilla chips 1 1/2 quart shredded lettuce 1 1/2 quart chopped raw tomatoes In skillet cook beef and drain. Add chopped peppers, taco seasoning and water; simmer 15 minutes. Add one half of cheese. Use a 10" square dish or a large salad bowl. Line dish with tortilla chips, lettuce and tomatoes, put meat mixture in bowl, top with remaining cheese. Serves 6 to 8. |
