1 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. raisins
1 egg

Sift flour and nutmeg. Rub butter into flour. Add sugar. Add raisins. Add eggs. Mix well. Form into spoon-sized balls on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Makes 17-18 cakes.
