NUT - BUTTER COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. finely chopped pecans or almonds
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix butter, sugar and nuts thoroughly. Add flour and salt, mix well. Chill dough. Roll into shapes (balls, ovals, logs, crescents). Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until set, not brown. While still warm, carefully roll in confectioners' sugar.
