HERSHEY CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
4 eggs 1 c. buttermilk 4 plain chocolate Hershey bars 2 sm. cans Hershey chocolate syrup 2 c. sugar 2 1/2 c. plain flour Pinch of salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. shortening Sift dry ingredients together. Melt Hershey bars and add to mixture. Add and beat one egg at a time. Add shortening and milk. Add chocolate syrup. Bake in greased tube pan at 300 degrees to start (about 1/2 hour) and finish on about 350 degrees until done. Test with a toothpick. Ice with glaze made of confectioners sugar or your favorite icing. |
