DELICIOUS VEGETABLE SOUP 
3 lb. beef cubes, cut into bite-size pieces
1 (1 pt. 2 oz.) can tomato juice
1/3 c. chopped onion
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 (1 lb. can) tomatoes, mashed
1 (8 3/4 oz.) can whole kernel corn
1 (10 oz. pkg.) frozen lima beans
4 tsp. salt
2 bay leaves
1 c. diced celery
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. diced potatoes

Combine the meat, tomato juice, onion, seasoning and 6 cups of water in a large pot. Cover and simmer this for approximately 2 hours. Skim off the excess fat. Add the vegetables, cover and simmer this for 1 hour, or, until all the vegetables are tender. Just before the soup is done add 1 large tablespoon of sugar.
