FRESH PEAR CAKE 
CAKE:

1 1/4 c. oil
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. all-purpose flour
3 c. raw pears, grated

TOPPING:

1 c. light brown sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all of cake ingredients and bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees in a 11 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Cover warm cake with topping.

Combine all topping ingredients and boil for 2 1/2 minutes. Pour over warm cake.
