MEATBALL SURPRISE 
Serve over rice or as an appetizer.

1 (1 lb., 4 oz.) can pineapple chunks
1/8 tsp. allspice
1 lb. hamburger
2 tbsp. pineapple syrup
1 egg
1/3 c. pineapple syrup
2 slices fresh bread, crumbled
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. minced onion
1/3 c. brown sugar (packed)
1/8 tsp. ground cloves

Drain pineapple well, reserving syrup. Mix together beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, cloves, allspice and 2 tablespoons syrup. Mold small amount of meat around the chunks of pineapple. Microwave on high 6 minutes rotating dish 1/4 turn after 3 minutes. Drain off meat juices. Note: This step may be done in a skillet.

Stir together 1/3 cup syrup, ketchup, and brown sugar. Pour over meatballs. Microwave at high 3-5 minutes. Rotate dish 1/4 turn after 2 minutes. OR, simmer 20-30 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
