PUFF PASTRY 
1 cube butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
3 tbsp. water
1 cube butter
1 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
3 eggs

Cut in first 4 ingredients and mix like pie dough. Divide in half. Roll out thin 3 x 12 inches and place 2 strips on cookie sheet. Boil butter and water; remove from heat and add flavoring and flour all at once. Beat constantly.

Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Spoon mixture on top of each strip. Spread evenly. Bake 55-60 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Frost with thin powdered sugar frosting.
