TURTLE CAKE 
1 (18 1/4 oz.) box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. condensed sweet milk
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1 (16 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake according to directions on the box. To this mixture, add butter and 1/3 cup of condensed milk; beat well. Pour 1/2 of mixture into a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 15 minutes. In a double boiler, melt caramels with remaining 1/3 cup of condensed milk. Pour over hot cake and sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts over top. Pour rest of batter over top and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer.
