APPLE CHEESE CASSEROLE 
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. 2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. sharp Cheddar or Velveeta, grated
1/4 c. butter
7 med. apples, peeled, cored & sliced

Combine flour, sugar and salt. Mix well. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Toss apples with water and lemon juice.

Spoon into lightly greased 8 inch square pan. Sprinkle flour mixture over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Top with cheese. Bake an additional 5 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
