GREEN SPLIT PEA SOUP | |
1 lb. green split peas 3 qt. water 2 tsp. salt 1 med. onion, chopped 1 raw carrot, grated 1 raw potato, diced 1/4 lb. ham or bacon, chopped and lightly fried Rinse and sort peas. Place in kettle with water and salt. Bring to boil. Let stand overnight or 3-4 hours. Add water from time to time as necessary. Makes 8 servings and can be frozen for future use. |
