TAMALE CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, firmly chopped
1 sm. green pepper, firmly chopped
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. taco seasoning
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Corn bread batter
1/2 c. grated cheese
1/4 c. pitted olives

Oil a 1 1/2 to 2 quart casserole dish. In skillet fry hamburger, onion, and green pepper until done, breaking up meat. Pour off fat. Add seasoning, garlic, and tomato sauce to meat mixture. Bring to boil, stirring. Reduce heat. Simmer 10 minutes uncovered. Pour into casserole dish. Top with corn bread mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until cornbread is brown. Top with cheese and olives; melt.
