GLADYS FAYE'S FLUFFY WHITE
FROSTING
 
2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Put 2 egg whites in saucepan with 1 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons water, 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar and dash of salt. Cook over low heat until dissolved. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, beat until stiff, about 5 minutes.
