B'S MEXICAN BEAN BURGERS 
1 lb. hamburger, lean
1 med. green pepper
1 med. onion
1 lg. jar sliced mushrooms
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (16 oz.) can pork-n-beans

Brown hamburger in large skillet and drain excess grease. Add chopped green pepper and diced onion. Pour in mushrooms, tomato sauce, and pork-n-beans. Add salt, pepper, chili powder, and red pepper to taste.

Cover and simmer slowly on medium/low heat for approximately 30 minutes. Do not let it become too thick; should this happen, add a little water to thin. Serve over toasted hamburger buns open-faced with cole slaw. Serves 4.
