SHISH KABOB 
3 to 3 1/2 lb. beef or lamb cubes
1/2 c. salad or peanut oil
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. crushed oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 clove garlic, minced

Mix all ingredients together and pour over meat. Leave meat in marinade overnight, turn once. Alternate on skewers with green pepper and onion. Broil 25-30 minutes, turning and basting as necessary under broiler. (Could also be cooked on grill.)

Topping for shisk kabobs if served on pita bread: grated cucumber, chopped onion, chopped tomato; mix with sour cream.
