GRACE'S GRILLED LONDON BROIL 
2 1/2 to 3 lb. top-round or flank steak

MARINADE:

1 cup soy sauce
1 onion, minced
1 tsp. Accent (MSG; optional)
1 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning (McCormick)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. ground ginger
3 thin slices lemon

In a saucepan, combine all marinade ingredients. Bring to a boil. Pour immediately over meat; refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.

Broil over hot charcoal, about 10 minutes per side for rare. Baste frequently with sauce while cooking.

To serve, cut thin slices on the diagonal.

Serves 6.

Note: You can make your own lemon-pepper seasoning by combining 1 tsp. grated lemon rind and 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper.
