FRESH DILL PICKLES 
30-40 pickling cucumbers
3 c. white vinegar
3 c. water
6 tbsp. plain salt
Fresh dill
Garlic cloves
Mustard seeds

Wash cucumbers. Make a brine of the vinegar, water, and salt. Bring to a boil. Put a generous layer of dill, 1/2 to 1 sliced garlic clove and 1 1/2 teaspoons of mustard seed in each clean jar (wide mouth jars are easiest to pack). Pack cucumbers tightly in jars. When half filled with cucumbers add another layer of dill and continue to pack. Fill jars with boiling brine to within 1/2 inch of top. Process for 5 minutes in boiling water bath.
