CANTONESE MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. evaporated milk
Hot rice

Combine beef, crumbs, salt, onion and milk. Form into small meatballs. Place on foil or baking sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.

SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE:

1 can (14 oz.) pineapple tidbits
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. cold water
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. diced celery
1 c. sliced thin green onions
1/2 c. green peppers, sliced thin

Drain juice from pineapple; combine juice, vinegar, sugar and soy sauce in a saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat. Mix cornstarch and cold water. Add slowly to cooking mixture, stirring constantly. Cook about 2 minutes longer or until thick and clear. Add butter, pineapple, celery, onion, pepper and heat slightly. Place meatballs on hot rice and spoon sauce over. Garnish with slivered almonds.
